A very limited production was vinified in 1906, just a few years after the advent of the phylloxera plague in Rioja (1901). The outbreak of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) stopped it. The wine was not bottled and it remained in wooden vat until mid-'40s and then 35 more years in cask. Reserved by the owners to be bottled in 1970 and cellared in the old winery racks in Haro to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Bodegas Gomez Cruzado (1886-1976).
