Please read through our Conditions of Business for Buyers and Sellers , as these pertain to our Online Wine Auctions as well as to our Fine Wine Auctions.
Bidder Registration
By registering to bid, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Conditions of Business for Buyers and Sellers of the Munich Wine Company by confirming via the 'Accept Terms' button. Registration as a bidder for the wine auction is completed through email verification based on the information you have provided. Please remember to select your preferred method of wine collection on the registration form.
The personal information which you give upon registration is only used for our wine auction, and will be handled confidentially. Your data will not be made available to any third parties.

Bids for the Online Wine Auction
You can place your bids through your active customer account during the specified period of each online wine auction. After logging in, a personal profile is available to you where you can view an overview of your bid.
Bids are placed via a pop-up window. Bids up to €95 increase in €5 increments, from €100 in €10 increments, from €500 in €20 increments, and from €1,000 in €50 increments. The bid you enter is considered your maximum bid. The purchase will be executed at the lowest possible price, meaning the final bid may be lower than your maximum bid.

Auction After Sale
Die Lots im Nachverkauf stehen Ihnen zu den Auktionsbedingungen zum angegebenen Preis (zzgl. 15% Provision, einer Lotgebühr von 5 € pro Lot und Versandkosten, beides zzgl. 19% MwSt.) zur Verfügung. Wenn Sie den einen oder anderen Wein erwerben wollen, klicken Sie auf den Buy Now Button. You will receive a confirmation by email for each lot purchased in the Auction After Sale. Billing and delivery/collection will only take place at the end of the Auction After Sale.
Lot Descriptions
The absence of information regarding damages and defects does not imply that an item is free of faults or defects. You are requested to verify the condition of the items yourself. They are auctioned in the condition they are in at the time of the auction. Please note our General Terms and Conditions.
Lot Image
For wine bottles in flawless condition, only a sample bottle is usually photographed. Lots with damaged capsules or labels or bottles with ullage below VTS-BON are photographed in their entirety.
Bidding process
Bids can be placed at any time during the run of the online wine auction. Please keep in mind when placing last minute bids, due to potential high bidding traffic in the last few minutes of the wine auction, the server may respond slower. Bids placed within the last 60 seconds before the auction ends may not reach us in time before bidding closes.
Proof of Age
In accordance with the Youth Protection Act , we will validate the age of new customers before delivery to be sure that we are not selling to minors.
Buyer’s Premium
A buyer’s premium of 15% and a lot fee of €5 per successfully won lot will be added to the hammer price, plus VAT per invoice and shipping. (Applies only if one or more lots are successfully won.)
Payment and Collection of Goods
We accept bank transfers and on-site payments via Girocard/EC card, exclusively in euros. For amounts exceeding €10,000, the presentation of identification documents is mandatory. Until payment has been received in our account, the goods remain the property of the consignor. Payment for auctioned items must be made no later than 7 days after receipt of the invoice. Personal collection in Munich-Deisenhofen is possible no earlier than three working days after the end of the auction and only by prior telephone arrangement. We charge a storage fee of €2 per day for items not collected, starting 7 days after receipt of the invoice. Shipping is also available under DHL conditions.
Package Recycling
Munich Wine Company follows its legal diligence regarding package recycling (§ 6 VerpackV). This law pertains only to new packaging materials used for private customers. We are a member of the recycling system Landbell AG, Mainz, (client number: 412 02 25).
